twice now, while browsing in google earth, the screen would stop responding and lines would show up all across the screen and you can't get out of it and the computer freezes up

should i delete it?

No, that's just because too much random access memory (RAM) is being used up, because Google Earth is a HUGE program. It is not a virus. Google Earth just uses so much power, your computer may be incapapabe of running the program (for a little bit).

You may have an older version of the program, too.

I doubt it has viruses it just sounds like maybe the app is a bit buggy and unstable.

Try downloading the latest version of the software and then re-installing it on the machine. It could be that Google has fixed the bug or that a file may have gotten corrupted since you initially installed the software.
No it's not a virus, just your computer resources or the internet connection. It's a very big program.
