avg is good but we have better products out there. if u wish to try a free one try avast or bitdefender 8. if u really need a good antivirus, try nod 32. its just 11 mb for down load nd only has 2 processes when active. check the free trial at www.eset.com

I would HIGHLY recommend AVG anti virus . These days all people know of an anti virus is either Mcafee or Norton . The virus makers , hackers , malware creators , spy wares etc all target the most popular pieces of software so that they have the best chance of a hit. Everybody knows of Norton and mcafee so there will be many viruses made to hide from them . But if you use a not so popular anti virus then you will have a much less chance of an attack. AVG is indeed very popular but no where near as popular as mcafee or Norton . So stick with AVG for the time being and if it becomes too popular switch to another anti virus .

By the way this not only applies to anitviruses but to Very popular browsers too like IE . I mean who has'nt heard of IE. So all the viruses will target the most popular software . Therefore CHANGE your browser into something like FIREFORX . ITs the same with IM . Take MSN for e.g. Everybody uses MSN right? so the hackers will target that as they know they have a high chance to capture somebody.
