Viruses are made by different people for different reasons. You have some people who are just bored and want to see if they can. You have some that are angry and want to punish someone. Sometimes they are made for personal benefit, hacking banking systems etc. Some are government made (China) to test/exploit other countries computer systems. I suppose it's kind of like asking why people steal, some do it for thrills, others for food, others for money...

people who want to steal info that isn't theirs, ruin peoples' fun, and have the Internet to themselves.
People who want information about you that can be profitable or just d1ckheads with to much time on their hands who want to make your life miserable and like the challenge
people who are very bored and want to make people go threw alot of hassel fixing the computer.
Who: people that have way too much time on their hands
Why: Because they can. If I had the ability, i would probably do it too.
mostly kids.bored..having contests.just like hacking........
