Limewire doesn't contain viruses and you will not get them from Limewire.
You can get them from the files you download. Limewire allows you to connect to other computers and those people sometimes try to pass on files that have a virus in them.
Common sense goes a long ways. If you see a file that is supposed to be a full length movie and it is only 2K in size something is wrong. You should also have anti virus software running at all times.

i found out that you just have to be careful of what you download!
not in all cases that you can catch virus at limewire. viruses are everywhere, even if you open a page in which you don't have any knowledge that it contains virus as it shows like an interesting or a catching webpage for information; education; etc. as far as i had used it, i never experienced getting any virus from limewire. if someone got it from limewire, then maybe there was someone who was spreading that virus on that day. but to have more protection on your PC, have an antivirus or internet security %26 have it scanned for virus oftentimes if you have massive downloads of music or any thing from limewire or any sites.
