I understand the hackers trying to get personal info and credit card numbers but what about the jerks that just want to mess up other peoples computers for no reason other....I just don't understand the reasoning behind it

I think with nine of them you are going to end up wiping your computer and setting it up again. You could get AVG free from the web and run it and also I suggest you visit www.trendmicro.com. Good luck

not without you telling us what the viruses are. Without you telling us the name of the virus you got, I can only recommend you get some antivirus, there is some good free ones:

make sure youyr antivirus software is updated, bott in safew mode, with system restore off, and do a complete scan, it should get rid of the a,,. if you still find any, go to syamantec.com, seturity response and download the manual fix for the ones that are left
try these ways!

I. Delete history of internet Explorer and also remove Temporary files... don't go on deleting file from C drive and documents and sett.... clear all cached files from internet explorer ( opne IE go to tools internet options and then you don't need any guide... now!

No it can't get into CDs, as long as the CD is clean and already written.

But if you are trying to write files to a CD, then it is better to scan those files, coz if one of them is infected then the virus will go to the CD.

As long as the file extension is not an executable it should be ok. Executable file extensions include *.exe *.bat *.msi

If you download anything online anywhere there is a risk of a virus being present. The thing you need to consider is where you got it from. Is it a reputable site? Do they have a large fanbase? Do they have pornographic adds?

If any of these have answers that are negative in accordance with what one might call having "good morals" then you should scan it.

I believe u has just download some video files which requires domplayer to play. There are alot of negative comments on this player which complain that it is a malware.

My advice: delete the file and re-download the video from reputable sites.
