Ad-Aware is a handy programme for removing spyware, and it's free! Do a quick google search for it and you'll find it easily.
Viruses are not disguised as spyware. Spyware is spyware. A virus is a virus. They each require a particularly type of software to remove them. AV will not remove spyware, antispyware will not remove viruses. Do you know what you have, or are you just guessing that you have one of the other? I can assure you, you have spyware. That hops on your computer as soon as you log onto the internet. A virus you get from some other source.
Ad-Aware. SuperAntiSpyware. Avast (antivirus). AVG 7.5 (antivirus). Only one antivirus is required, but you need both kinds of antispyware. They each remove a specific type of spyware.
