i got one, and avg is not working. Since my fiance was on wrestling websites, could we have got it there?

You could have gotten whatever it is you got from any of a number of places (or emails?), so don't be too quick to think its his fault. All to easy to get these when you surf; period.



You probably have a spyware program, not detectable or correctable by your antivirus program. (This is the main reason you need spyware protection as well as antivirus.)



There are many good spyware detection and removal programs. You can do the free on-line scan, Housecall (google Trend Micro Housecall).



You can also download and install some spyware protection. There are many good choices, free and commercial, Go to download.com and check them out--read CNet editors' reviews as well as users' reviews (the editors don't review everything).



You can rank order the search results there by clicking on the column heading for Cnet Editors' reviews; and then also by users' reviews.



Make sure you update whatever you install before running a scan.
