It's really hard to get a virus through a song
Most viruses come when people download software not music just make sure it's an .MP3, .WAV, .WMA file you'll be fine

a good real time antivirus is avast! home edition it will block the virus before getting in your computer even if it gets through you scan your computer and heal the virus

Avast Anti Virus prg will scan files as ythey're downloaded and STOP if it finds a virus and notfiy you that it has
I've used it for years and not a single virus has gotten past it

If you have an anti virus program running it will scan the file as you download it and quarantine it if there is a virus.

You can't! You have to download them but I think they are scanned by Limewire communications first.
Also, before you open it you can right click it and scan just the song, after you down load it just to make sure it does not have a virus.
