well, lots of people are convinced god made AIDS as a punishment for sinning--if god was handing out std's as a punishment for sinning every church in the world would have an attached free clinic

Anything that has life has a soul according to the Vedic knowledge. The evidence of the soul is the life within the body. If something is living it has a soul. It is just a very unconscious living entity . IT is said that there are 8400,000 species of life. The soul transmigrates through all of these species until it reaches the human form of life then it has enough intelligence to question its existence. Animals eat, sleep mate and defend, so do humans, but if a human does not use their intelligence to understand their relationship with God they can descend into animal bodies or lower for some time. It is all very scientific and spiritual simultaneously. When you understand the big picture you become peaceful because you can actually understand the all loving nature of God. Many of the viruses we have today are mutations. Man caused the mutations. Some virus' only affected animals until they mutated and became able to infect humans. God created all things.
Yes, God created biological viruses.
