kind of... virus world is reactive... i mean the cure comes always after a new virus is created... as soon as a new virus knocks at the door... the antivirus corps are bound to come up with their kills... before the cure if something is destroyed, have heard that the antivirus corps are ready to pay u for the damages but only if u have paid for a license... happy????
No, because any new virus can come into existence any time and even highly expensive firewall of any renowned company may not be able to protect against the virus. And the company will produce the vaccine(s/w solution to remove virus) after coming the virus into picture. So, till then u will be at risk.

No, but viruses shouldn't be an issue if you take a few common sense measures. Get a decent commercial antivirus product and firewall. (forget the free stuff). Update your o/s regularly.

Don't download every bit of rubbish you find on the net.
virus types are growing every second so unless your getting a new firewall anti-virus and what-not every second there is no total protection
