Do canon cameras have viruses?

NO THEY DO NOT !

Do canon cameras have viruses?internet security 2006

Technically speaking, yes, cameras could get a virus if they have an updateable operating system. Most compact digitals would be safe.

However, since most dSLR's have updatable BIOS, we have the chance of getting a virus.

Thankfully, cameras seem low on the priority list for hackers, so for now, we're ok.

NO WAY, cameras arnt linked to the internet so this is not possible.
If you have a bad cold and sneeze on it you chance giving somebody else your cold if they use your camera.

but no - there may be glitches in the software that may be able to be resolved with a "firmware" upgrade - check the canon website for info regarding this.

(glitches i refer to are like - you can't manually adjust the exposure wile using it in black and white mode) it's just something that got over looked.

if your experiencing shutdowns and random things try resetting the camera - the manual can tell you how to do this. useually a button hidden away somwhere.
